SEVA PRAKALP SANSTHAN is the U.P Chapter of the AKHIL BHARTIYA VANVASI KALYAN ASHRAM , involved in the overall social
, economic and cultural development of the Vanvasis by protecting their culture, and traditions and reawakening them to make
a mark and contribute to the development of the society and the country.
VANVASI PROFILE
Tenacious , rich in culture and traditions, and living in far-off isolated hills and dense forests, Vanvasis are a part
of our Hindu society. They are a neglected lot,who are yet to taste the fruits of developmental plans and projects.Unfortunately
they have been victims of foreign conspiracies during the British rule and even post-Independence. Proselytisation by
force, fraud and allurements made some of them change their faith, which resulted in trends like separatism, terrorism and
opoen insurgency as seen in the North-East. These dangerous fallouts are revealed in great details in Niyogi Enquiry Commission

Established in the year 1952 at an obscure, remote place Jashpur, in Madhya Pradesh, the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram (V.K.A.) has
now expanded its activities for the service of Vanvasi's in each and every state of our country. VKA has earned the proud
distinction of operating the highest number of seva projects (7648 as on 1-3-97) conducted by any Sangh inspired organisation
in our country.
The Canvas Kalian Ashram , operates in all the following karyakshetras i.e. Health, Education, Social organisation, Economic
development as well as carrying out numerous casual/ need-based programmes. Their major in-puts are in the field of education,
development of sports , crafts , re-establishing and strengthening the blurred cultural links and weaning the vanavasi away
from the evil influence of foreign forces , anti-social, and anti-national forces, etc. The impact of the selfless, untiring,
all encompassing activities and programmes are now becoming manifest in all the places where the V.K.A. operates. The burgeoning
demand for opening V.K.A. seva projects, the growing self-reliance of the Vanavasis and financial support from all over the
country, are indicators of V.K.Ss favourable impact.

Seva Prakalp Sansthan was founded in 1980 in Rudrapur, Uttarkhand. Seva Prakalp Sansthan has worked extensively for the upliftment
of the vanvasis of Uttarkhand and western UP through the establishment of hostels for vanvasi students, dispensaries, sports
centres, balwadis, Shradha Jagran Kendras etc. Today Seva Prakalp Sansthan has its presence in 5 vanvasi districts out 5 such
districts, attached to villages out of 395 vanvasi villages. Total 132 projects at 105 places are functional.
Seva Prakalp Sansthan is a registered trust and all donations made to the Sansthan are exempted from income tax under
section 80 G of the Income Tax Act.
Hostels
Seva Prakalp Sansthan is nurturing the future of 116 vanvasi students in the hostels of Saharanpur, Rudrapur and Mushyari.
We provide them with the best infrastructure available with us to speed up their comprehensive growth.
Health & Medical centers
Aiding, supporting and organizing medical camps and running medical centers for the betterment of the health of Vanvasi
brothers and sisters, Conducting drives to educate preventions to safe guard from diseases.
Education
Educating vanvasi students & developing them by imbibing values, boosting their morale, cultivating their zeal through
Balwadis (Play way school), primary, secondary schools. Seva Prakalp Sansthan is facilitating education to the far away situated
Tribal villages through single teacher schools.
Vocational Training centers
Assisting vanvasis to become independent with the help of vocational training centers like stitching & knitting training,
Farm development training etc. supporting their growth through continuously functioning Research & Development Centers.
Sports Centers
Healthy mind lives in a healthy body – developing spirits of healthy competition and sportsmanship, leadership,
discipline among vanvasi natives and promoting their sports talent to national and international levels. Seva Prakalp Sansthan
organizes sports competitions at district level and state level.
Shradha Jagran Kendra / Satsang Kendra
Building and encouraging faith, self-esteem and moral values through these kendras by celebrating the important days,
belongs to their glorious history, culture, great leaders, revolutionaries, freedom fighters, Saints.

Women Councils
Supporting and forming SHGs (Self Help Groups), and women councils for awareness of their own rights and duties. Besides
that these councils look after the administration of vanvasi projects and overall development in their villages. Seva prakalp
sansthan promote small saving tendencies through these councils.
Preservation of their indigenous FAITH
Nagar Sangathan
We want to build the feeling of oneness between Nagar Vasis and Vanvasis by Organizing conferences and exhibitions in
cities and van-yatra to attract and evoke Nagar vasis’s sensitivity towards the Janjati problems. We collect help
from cities in cash and kind for vanvasis. Nagar Sangthan organizes fund raising activities like Shree Ram Katha, Shree Bhagwat
Katha, New years Mela at various places.
